Graphic Design-tourist spread

This is a pretty messy spread. The picture are kind of random. Im not exactly sure how to make it better though. Possibly you could overlap the picture to make it looks like a collage or something instead of making the pictures so straight and aligned.

Graphic Design-Continuous branding

I like how the colors stay the same throughout this 2 page spread. I like the branding that follows on two the 2 pages. I want to incorporate lines into my magazine spread to continue my branding for my osaka tourism.

Graphic Design-1 page article

I like this one page spread. I like the text variation. The colors vary and so does the size of it. This picture works well because it resembles the product BOSE is selling. I need to focus on my audience and focus on the product I am selling better.

Typography-five gum

5 gum is successful because of its cool wrapper. It has a lot of contrast with the black and bright colors. It is simple and clean and really speaks to its audience in a cool matter. It makes a person to want to appear "cool" by buying this new different simple gum.

This is a good website for anyone who wants to market and advertise to college students. 5 tips on how to grasp their attention. It can be used in any graphic design projects as well as typography or any computer marketing project.

Typography-Teavana

Such a Cool logo! I love how teavana speaks to the younger crowd. It uses such warm colors and the shop is so cool looking. They speak about all the wonderful delicious teas. The font is very cool looking too. I like the Bold all caps letters in it as well.

Typography-Clean Apple

Apple really speaks to the young audience because it is so clean and simple. Not everyone loves it but Most people are pleased by the looks of it. I want my water bottle label to speak to a young audience like Apple does.

Typography-Fred Water

My first impression on Fred water is a Flask. I believe it was made for a man named Fred who was an alcoholic and needed something on him at all time that reminded him of his post drinking habits. Therefore, his rich mother came up with the Fred Water bottle to resemble a flask for Fred's 28th Birthday. He is a little spoiled but he was very happy his mom did this and he got a real good kick out of it. So therefore, Fred Water was made for recovering alcoholics.

Typography-BLK water

I LOVE the font on this. The strong contrast between the black and white looks so cool. It makes me want to try it just from the awesome label. It is very simple and clean which is what a lot of people are liking more these days. I want to have my water bottle grasp the attention of others just like this one does.

Graphic Design-One Page magazine

This one page ad is pretty neat. It shows a simple part of a place to live in America. The white text saying "Contents" really sticks out to the reader and the black text on the blue sky allows it to be readable for the veiwer as well. I like how they have a blue circle on the bottom to add their logo to the page. All together I believe it is pretty clean.

Typography-Aquafina water bottle

Im not a huge fan of the Aquafina water bottle label. To me the font is to skinny and doesn't grasp your attention as easily. I don't like how it looks so fancy. The fonts that grab my attention for food and drink Are big bold san serif fonts, and this one is not like that at all.

Graphic Design-color scheme

I like this magazine 2 page spread because the color scheme links on to the next page. The one page carries a large white sans serif font on a black background continuing onto the next page with a slick black car. The two pages work well together.

Typography-Ethos Water

This Water bottle is very click looking. People will be this water because it is very "Green". Since that is water everyone wants these days is "Green" this water work. It tells you how clean the water is on the bottle. It is a very simple logo and the colors work well together.

Graphic Design-2 page magazine

This magazine 2 page spread is very interesting. I like how the word "Incentivized" goes across the two pages. I also like how the first letter starting the text is a large Capital A. The look of it could be used well when it comes to me having to make my osaka tourism magazine cover.

Typography-FIJI water bottle

This water bottle is visually interesting. The shape of the bottle is different than most water bottles and the colors on it are very beachy and relaxing. It draws people in to try the water. Whether people like the taste of Fiji water, most people have atleast tried it because they are interested in the label.

Typography-Candy!

The candy in a gas station or grocery store always catches someones eye. the font is always so big and is usually sans serif. It grabs your attention with the bright colors and the pretty wrappings. Most of the wrappers and able to be read from a good distance and someone will be able to tell what candy it is very easily.

Graphic Design-2 page mag. spread

I like this 2 page magazine spread. I can do something like this with images of osaka. I can do one large osaka picture and little ones continuing onto the next page with my Osaka Tourism logo on the second page.

Graphic Design-"How To" magazine covers

http://photoshoptutorials.ws/photoshop-tutorials/drawing/create-a-vector-style-magazine-cover-in-photoshop/
This website shows you how to make many different magazine covers using many different workshops. The one I have pulled up is how to create a vector style magazine. You can start from the home page though and it shows you 10 different ways to create certain magazines.

Graphic Design-Toyota logo

Yesterday when I was walking to my car, I looked at our van and noticed the toyota symbol. It is a very abstract logo, but it very simple and clean. It is very cool looking and it is widely known. Many people can look at it and simply tell its the Toyota car. I would say it is a very successful car logo.

Typography-Bright, bold, gray

The colors in this subway map are bright and bold. Then behind it you can see little gray streets branching off. I used that exact same method for my typography project. It gave 2 looks to my project. 1 being it is a seubway terminal map, and 2 it is a matrix looking peice. Looking at the maps helped me alot.

Typography-matrix look

I love this matrix look. I love the look of the tunnels throughout the cyberspace. For my typography project, I used a subway map look with different colors, but my overall peice looks like a cyberspace matrix and is pretty cool looking I guess.

Graphic Design-Carroll Magazine

The Carroll County magazine (a local magazine) keeps things very simple and close to home. For example, Carroll County is very big in farm life. This magazine is good for that because it is talking about barns and farming, and even the Carroll text looks farmish. I think it is very good to speak to the ones living in carroll county. Although I wish the man's head wasn't covering Carroll.

Graphic Design OCAT logo

For our midterm in Graphics we had to make a new logo for OCAT-osaka city air terminal. Looking at their logo they have now is very interesting. I like the choice of colors. The way the C and A connect are pretty cool, but the text looks somewhat childish.

Graphic Design-Tourism Magazine

Tourism Magazines tend to keep it a little more simple than news magazines such as Times, Seventeen and Cosmo. They use a pretty picture and a little bit of text throughout the cover but not overcrowding it with text.

Typography-front and back cover

I like the front and back cover of this book as well. On the back of the book, they took the same image as the front but used a red transparency over top of it. I think it works well and adds texture to the background, but still keeps it simple so you are able to red the text.

Typography-Book Cover

I like the front and back cover of this book cover. I like how on the front, the tan color dominates and the black fades behind it, but on the back the black in the background and the tan wording pops out to the reader.

Graphic Design-Lakai

The Lakai Company uses branding throughout there products. They use a very simple form of branding though. The continue to repeat their name and the little logo on t shirts, hats, shoes, and other products.

Graphic Design-TIME magazine

This magazine cover is quick to catch your eye because if the contrast within it. The red automatically forces your eye in and the giant black letter on the almost white background forces you to read the title of the magazine.

Graphic Design-Crammed Cover

This osaka magazine is very messy and crammed. There is so much going on in the picture. When I create a magazine cover, I want ti be able to make it a lot more simple but still be able to catch the japanese eye.

Graphic Design-Beautiful City

The architecture in osaka is absolutely amazing and beautiful! I would LOVE to visit there someday. It's cool that we get to make stuff in graphics the pretend advertise this beautiful city.

Graphic Design-Cherry Blossom

These cherry blossoms are so gorgeous in Osaka. It would be great to see on the cover of an osaka tourism magazine. It would match my cherry blossom logo perfectly.

Typography-John Castillo

John Castillo does an amazing job showing the depth in his piece depth. You can create an illusion that your eyes are looking farther back into a scape when really the font is getting smaller with the right amount of shading and blurriness.

Typography-depth website

http://www.ehow.com/how_4808489_text-depth-adobe-illustrator.html
This website tells you different ways to create depth in a text. It can help out when your doing a project like I am where you have to make a book cover with nothing but text.

Typography-Overlapping text

I really like this idea of overlapping a text. It creates a shadow and depth to the font itself. I would like to use this in some of my peices.

Typography-Depth in Font

The way this text shows depth is awesome. I love how it is done and seeing this helps me a lot with the depth in my necromancer piece.

Graphic Design-Osaka Tourism Cover

Here is an osaka tourism magazine cover. It is very crowded with a ton of reading. There is just way to much going on in the cover. I hope to make mine more simple in way the point still gets across.

Graphic Design-beautiful osaka

The city of Osaka is absolutely beautiful. I really want to capture the beauty behind it when I do my magazine cover.

Graphic Design-Off Cover

This magazine article drew my attention because of the pretty picture and the bright red font, but the crooked chronicles I don't like to much. I thought it said choices at first and it was really hard to read. Its just a little off.

Graphic Design-Pretty Magazine

Here is a pretty example of a tourism magazine. I want to incorporate the same pretty features into my osaka magazine.

Graphic Design-Osaka Logo

The osaka info logo is very complicating. I feel like it was very hard to make and a little difficult to repeat. plus the read is maybe too harsh of a color for the audience.

Graphic Design- Postal Service

The united states postal service logo is very trustworthy looking for its blue color. Also the italicized text makes the font look quick and it gives a person the secure feeling that their mail will get somewhere quick and with no harm.

Graphic Design-Pepsi logo

It's really interesting to see how the pepsi logo has changed over the years. You can tell how it changes to speak to the certain generation. The most recent is the most new looking. It blasts out to the audience, and I think it works well because at this time we have so much new technology that is blasting out at us.

Graphic Design- Cool graphic

This is very cool graphics. I love how the objects are coming out of her head and it is very 3D looking. I like it a lot!

Typography-Map in Neuromancer

This map is the places traveled in Neuromancer. It will help a whole lot while I am making my book cover.

Graphic Design-Peacock Logo

This is a great logo. Everyone is drawn to the bright colors, and it takes you a few looks to realize it is a peacock.

Typography-Brain connected to internet

This image was found on a website about connecting your mind to the internet. It reminds me a lot of neuromancer and how his brian and mind are within the cyber world.

Graphic Design-Trim Belly Fat

This is a pretty cool business card promoting an exercise business. In order for it to fit in your wallet, you have to tear off the belly fat. Very creative and it has effective meaning. It would probably just be a little expensive to make these.

Graphic Design-Hard to Read Business Card

This font type and color on this light brown background makes the card a little hard to read. I would suggest making the type a little lighter or the background a little lighter.

Graphic Design- Business card and envelope

This is a creative business card and envelope. The colors are nice and clean and it is very readable. They left the open space of the envelope that they were supposed to.

Graphic Design-Messy Business Card

This is a horrible looking business card. Im sure the messy writing has to do with her company, but its almost to messy you can't even read it.

Typography-Subway map

This is the type of map I am basing my book cover off of. Instead of just plain lines, I am making the lines out of type.
